Hey,  I'm Allie

(long story long)

My creative story started right here in West Hartford at Hall High School, where I took my first graphic design class and realized how much I loved making things look good and mean something. Around that time, I started taking photos for friends and families. holiday cards, portraits, little moments that deserved to be saved.

That’s where it all clicked: I loved helping people tell their stories through visuals.

In college at the University of New Hampshire, that passion only grew. I majored in Journalism because I’ve always been drawn to people’s stories, and I spent my time behind the camera and at the editor’s desk as Editor of The New Hampshire, our student newspaper. It taught me how to find the angle, tell the truth, and connect through storytelling.

After college, I moved to New York City and had a mix of opportunities in marketing and education. I became a teacher at Success Academy Charter Schools while launching my first business, A Wildflower Project, doing social media management and photography for restaurants around the city. When the world shut down in 2020, so did the restaurants, and I shifted gears to focus on teaching full-time. During that time, I earned my dual master’s degree in General and Special Education from Touro University, graduating with highest honors.

Eventually, I found my way back home to West Hartford, and back to my creative roots. That’s when Bellu Jean Creative was born. The name comes from my last name, Bellucci, and my middle name, Jean. a mix of personal and professional, just like my work.

Now, I get to do what I love every day: help local businesses bring their stories to life through design, photography, and social media. My background in journalism helps me find the story. My experience in education keeps me organized and intentional. And my creative side?

That’s what keeps it all fun.

Outside of work, I stay connected to my community as Chairperson of FLOW (Future Leaders of West Hartford) through the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce, and I serve on the fundraising committee and A-board for COMPASS Youth Collaborative, which Stops youth violence in Hartford.

Everything I’ve done, teaching, writing, photographing, creating, has led me here. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Allison is absolutely phenomenal. She is creative and hard working and makes things look and work better. I have known her now for a couple of years and watched her business grow. You cannot go wrong hiring Bellu Jean to take care of anything from websites to marketing materials and more. So happy to know her and enjoy watching her as her business takes off.

Allie is absolutely amazing at everything she does – she has helped me with social media, blogging, and my newsletter for the past six months or so, and I have already seen gains in my followers, as well as business leads. She's held my hand along the way and educated me in the best practices for social media strategies. She inherently "gets" my business, and did so very quickly, which has allowed me to focus on the parts of the business I need to do myself – such as booking clients and doing photoshoots. Not only is she very talented but she's a lovely person.

Allie's talents seem to be limitless. She has helped me grow my business through marketing ideas and as the mastermind behind creative and artistic instagram posts. I own a hair salon and though I have the creative eye, the organization and understanding of how to properly present the information to market my business was lacking. Since hiring her, my social media game has been totally leveled up. I am gaining so many new clients who say they've found me online and even my existing clients have been so impressed with the content we're putting out.

This felt like a bit of a financial splurge/risk at first for my small business and now after roughly six months of working with Allie, I can confidently say I've made my money back and then some. My business comes off as so much more well run and professional with her finishing touches. It's so exciting! Highly recommend!

Allie’s work is both meticulous and artful. She brings a rare combination of creativity and strategic thinking to every project, resulting in campaigns that are not only visually compelling but also highly effective. Her attention to detail is matched only by her deep understanding of what it takes to connect with audiences in meaningful ways. One of Allie’s most outstanding qualities is her natural talent for networking. She has a unique ability to bring people and businesses together, fostering collaborations that benefit everyone involved. Her leadership style is inclusive and empowering, creating a ripple effect of success throughout the community.

Equally important, Allie maintains deep roots in the local community. She gives back generously, both with her time and her talents, supporting local causes and helping others grow their own businesses. Her commitment to community development is just as impressive as her business acumen.
